Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Iota Rho Lambda Chapter proudly affirms its continued support of our National Partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, specifically serving Southeastern Michigan. Our chapter is deeply committed to advancing the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters—to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth and help all young people achieve their full potential.

Through our partnership, we have actively supported BBBS by engaging in meaningful programs and service initiatives designed to uplift and empower young people and families within our community. Our efforts have taken many forms, including organizing and supporting youth flag football and basketball activities, adopting families in need, and providing giving baskets filled with essential household items to support stability and well-being.

These initiatives reflect our shared belief in the transformative impact of mentorship, positive role models, and sustained community involvement. We recognize that strong, lasting relationships with caring adults can change the trajectory of a young person’s life, and we are honored to stand alongside Big Brothers Big Sisters in this important work.

In recognition of our commitment and service, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Iota Rho Lambda Chapter was humbled to receive the Inspiring Potential Award in May 2025. This honor reinforces our dedication to mentoring, service, and the continued investment in the success of youth throughout Southeastern Michigan.

We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and continuing to support initiatives that build hope, confidence, and opportunity for the next generation.
